Nonprofit Rentals

It is important to us that The Discovery Center is accessible and we know how hard it can be for nonprofits to find the space they need at the price they need, so we offer a discount on rentals to nonprofits. See below for information about our available spaces and prices. To inquire about availability, please fill out this form.

If you’re a nonprofit in 19121 or 19132 and need occasional meeting space (for a board meeting or the like) and can meet during our normal operating hours, we can offer you free space. Please fill out the inquiry form for more information.

Once you fill out the form staff will be in touch to either ask for more details or confirm your booking if the space is available. Please no phone calls.

Please note, we cannot accept rentals for Sunday evening (past 5pm)

We have no Friday, Saturday, or Sunday evenings available in March, April, or May 2025.

 

Spaces

Great Room

Capacity: 200 standing, 175 seated in chairs, 150-160 seated at tables

We think our Great Room is fantastic. Rent with the Courtyard for your perfect indoor/outdoor event with the Strawberry Mansion reservoir as your backdrop. With a modular wall, the Great Room can be divided into the Multipurpose Room.

Nonprofit Sliding Scale Rental Rate: $200-$450/hr

Nonprofit kitchen use: $75 per event

 

Multipurpose Room

Capacity: 80 standing, 75 seated, 60-70 seated at tables

Our Multipurpose Room is just that- a room for many purposes! We’ve hosted birthday parties, community events, neighborhood and club meetings, and professional development workshops. The room also has a beautiful view of the Strawberry Mansion reservoir and access to our kitchen if needed. (A smaller part of the Great Room)

Nonprofit Sliding Scale Rental Rate: $75-$175/hr

Nonprofit kitchen use: $75 per event

 

Conference Room

Capacity: 12-15 seated at tables

The Conference Room is perfect for your professional or casual meeting. With a wall mounted TV and the option to add advanced video conferencing tools, the Conference Room allows you to connect in person and virtually.

Nonprofit Sliding Scale Rental Price: $25-$50/hour

 

Courtyard

Capacity: 200 standing, 150 seated in chairs or standing at cocktail tables

The Courtyard is the entrance to The Discovery Center buildings and grounds. With a full view of the Strawberry Mansion reservoir, the backdrop can’t be beat for any event.

Only available for events once the Center has closed to the public.

Nonprofit Sliding Scale Rental Price: $100-$250 flat rate add on with indoor space.
