Join The Discovery Center as we celebrate our anniversary with a day at The Discovery Center! There will be many fun activities throughout the day, including:

• Zipline for ages 8+

• Conservation & Canoeing for ages 8+ (under 12 participants must be accompanied by an adult) Learning how to canoe and learn about the bird species, flora and fauna along the reservoir

• Make a bird feeder

• Engage with community organizations

• Take a tour up into the Observation tower

• Hike along the nature trail surrounding the Strawberry Mansion Reservoir

• Learn more about Mid-Atlantic and Philadelphia Outward Bound programming

• Plus Project MEOW will be on-site with adoptable cats and ready to discuss TNR (Trap, Neuter, Release)

And join Pennsylvania Master Naturalist Educators for info on the world of birds! We’ll dive into what makes birds unique from other animals and each other, as well as swoop into how and where to spot our feathered friends all around us. We’ll do all of this while having some fun with interactive games and crafts along the way. While the content is designed for younger children and their families, all are welcome to participate!
